Animal and plant park

There are more than 1000 kinds of plants in the park, most of which come from tropical and subtropical areas. It includes the main varieties in Hong Kong and abroad, such as pine and cypress, fig, palm, eucalyptus, Magnolia, camellia, Rhododendron and Chunyu. In the south of the park, there is a "medicinal botanical garden", and shrubs are concentrated in the fountain platform garden, where there are often stained flowers. The park collects and records abundant animals and plants. By organizing outdoor learning activities, the main purpose is to promote the park's contribution to animals and plants, and to enable students and the public to have a better understanding of animals, plants, biological diversity and the environment through explanation and education labels.

Introduction to scenic spots

The Hong Kong flora and fauna park is the first park in Hong Kong. It is located on yabingli Road, central, Hong Kong Island. It is surrounded by Robinson Road, glennary Road, upper Albert Road and garden road. It covers an area of 5.6 hectares. Originally known as Hong Kong Botanical Park, the park has been raising birds and mammals for tourists since 1876. To reflect the increasing number of animals in the park, it was renamed "Hong Kong Animal and plant park" in 1975.
