Fanggu Garden

Hangzhou fanggu garden starts from dafangbo in the East and connects with Mashi street in the West. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was the garrison of the golden spear class and the silver spear class. Mingrenzong was the chief envoy, and yingchaoyu was the back garden of the mansion. It is said that Ying wanted to compete with Shichong's Golden Valley Garden recorded in Shishuoxinyu for luxury. He called the garden fanggu garden, hence its name. In the early years of the Republic of China, Fangguyuan was owned by the Zhang family. Later, as the dowry of her daughter Zhang Lanjuan, it belonged to Qian Junfu, a descendant of King Qian (the father of Qian Xuesen, a famous contemporary scientist).

Fanggu Garden

Fangguyuan is located in an alley in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Zhidafangbo in the East and Mashi street in the West. Mingrenzong was the back garden of yingchaoyu (also known as dafangbo) house, the political envoy of Henan Province. It is said that Yingchao Yuyu is more luxurious than Shichong's Golden Valley Garden, so this garden is called "fanggu garden". Fangguyuan was on fire on October 23, 1660, which lasted for seven Li. Since then, only land has been reserved. The buildings of Fangguyuan have been listed as historical and cultural protection buildings by Hangzhou municipal government.
