"World famous mountain" archway

The "world famous mountain" archway is the gate of Mount Emei, which was rebuilt in April 1993. On the front, "famous mountains in the world" was inscribed by Guo Moruo in 1959; on the back, "holy land of Buddhism" was written by Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association. On the left side of the square, there are three natural stones, big and small. The big one is more than 5 meters high. It is engraved with the word "Emei Mountain", which is written by Su Dongpo of Song Dynasty.

The archway is 17.8 meters high and 22 meters wide, with four rows and three spans. It adopts the wooden building form of reinforced concrete structure. It is one of the largest memorial archways in China at present.
