Seven futu tower

Qiji futu pagoda, located in the east of the blissful temple, was built in 1924 by the 44 disciples of Linji sect, one of the five Zen schools. It is an octagonal seven storey Pavilion style brick pagoda. About 37 meters high, the layout is rare in China, the front facing south, close to the brick building hard mountain style underground hall. In front of the hall, there are three open halls with rolling shed, and two tower style bell and drum towers are set on both sides. Windows are opened on the East, South, West and north sides of the pagoda. The rest of the pagoda is surrounded by arched niches with 31 vivid arhat reliefs. The hall and tower are interlinked, offering seven bronze statues of three Buddhas, four Bodhisattvas. There are wooden ladders in the tower for visitors.

The sparrows under the eaves of the towers on each floor are carved with reliefs of dragons, phoenixes, lions and cranes. The layout of tower, hall and hall is unique, which is rare in China. Light windows are set on the East, South, West and north sides of the pagoda. Other pagoda walls are built with arched niches and 33 arhat reliefs. Below the tower is the netherworld hall. There are wooden ladders on each floor of the tower for bird's-eye view. The local components and decoration of the tower body have western architectural style. There are two plaques inscribed by Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association, on the door of the hall.
