Liu Kuo

Liu Kuo, born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province on August 11, 1978, graduated from the animation school of Beijing Film Academy, and is an animation director in mainland China.

In 2001, he graduated from Beijing Film Academy and stayed in school to teach. Now he is the director of computer animation major. During 1999-2009, he compiled more than ten textbooks and books, and published dozens of papers in national journals. In 2011, he was the chief director and artistic director of the 600 episode three-dimensional animation "xialan", which was shortlisted for the 2011 Seoul International Animation Festival. In 2018, he was the director of the first animated film "wind curse".

Early experience

Liu Kuo was a cartoonist in his early years. When he was young, he had been serializing comic works for a long time in national journals such as "children's comics" and "Beijing cartoon". During the student days and teaching period of Beijing Film Academy, he has written many technical works, such as unified teaching material of three-dimensional animation for national colleges and universities, large-scale production of three-dimensional film and television characters, production of three-dimensional film and television game scenes, comprehensive mastery of three-dimensional animation modeling technology, essence of three-dimensional animation rendering technology, etc.

Acting experience

From 2000 to 2001, he was the special effects director of CCTV's prime time TV series such as the long march and the Korean War. In 2001 and 2009, he won the "Autodesk international lecturer" award twice. In 2003, he was the art director of CCTV's cartoon "little carp jumping over the dragon's gate". In 2004, he was the general director of 52 episodes of large-scale three-dimensional animation "spirit century", which won the best art film award of the 23rd Golden Eagle Award and the excellent TV Animation Program Award of the 20th "Star Award". In 2006, he directed the three-dimensional animated film Shanhaijing and won many awards at home and abroad. from 2001 to 2007, he was the production director and technical director of many game animations, such as "the magic of Swords", "looking for immortals" and "Grand Theft Auto". He has been the production director and technical director of dozens of foreign 3D animation projects, such as hi of Japan, bronze man of the United States, Neptune Tork of Spain, etc. in 2008, we independently organized the research and development of "Mandala" 3D animation production platform, and obtained 18 national technical patents. In 2010, he served as the director of the research group of the national scientific research project "research and practice of computer animation technology innovation" of the Ministry of education.
