Gao Jiagu

Gao Jiagu

Gaojiagu is a granite stone. Its east wall is tall and steep, and its west wall has a 100 meter long "one line sky" landscape. Its top is relatively flat, with an altitude of 407 meters.

Gao's house is far away from the mountain. It has a single thatched cottage on top of it. Gao once lived here and covered it with cooking smoke. Gaojiagu, also known as "elevated Gu", is the highest mountain in Hualou scenic area, with an altitude of 407 meters. It is said that during the Yongle reign of the Dai Dynasty, when Yongle swept the north, there was a family surnamed Gao who built a house on the top of the mountain for refuge, hence the name. Now on the top of the mountain are the remains left by the Gao family when they lived there.
