The origin of the name

Taohuayu is the second and third grade junction of the three terraces in China, and the junction of mountain and plain. The boundary monument of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River was started in October 1999 and completed in 2000. The elevation of the boundary is 21 meters, which means that in the 21st century, there are jade fences on all sides and exquisite spiral ladders connecting them, which indicates that people's life along the Yellow River is thriving in the four seasons. The north-south line of the monument shows the boundary between the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River

History of controversy

In 2000, taohuayu, Xingyang, Zhengzhou, set up the boundary plate of "dividing line between the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River". In addition, some experts suggested that the dividing line should be in jiayingguan, Wuzhi County, Jiaozuo. In the junior high school geography textbook published by people's education press before 2013, the dividing line between the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River is determined as "old Mengjin" (now Luoyang Mengjin County). In the fourth volume of Henan Provincial chronicles, Huanghe chronicles, it is also determined as taohuayu in Xingyang, Zhengzhou. Jiayingguan has its own reasons.
