Dishuiyan Forest Park, formerly known as Dishuiyan Bird Nature Reserve, has become a paradise for birds and wildlife since its establishment in 1997.

Dishuiyan Forest Park, which was built in 2004, is located near the North Village of Shawan Town. The East Gate Square is covered with trees and decorated with open-air stone benches, showing the momentum of the integration of heaven and earth.

Development history

In February 1997, the municipal government agreed to establish Dishuiyan Bird Nature Reserve, and in December 2000, Guangzhou forestry bureau agreed to establish Dishuiyan forest park. Since 2001, Shawan Town has been identified as a national demonstration site for building a civilized small town and a provincial and central town. Centering on the goal of building a landscape ecological city in Guangzhou, Shawan Town has built the main ecological corridor of "dafushan Dishuiyan" in the West. The city and district have listed Dishuiyan ecological Forest Park as one of the creation projects and the key construction projects of the central town, and given strong support. Taking the protection and improvement of forest ecology as the premise, and taking qingluozhang mountain, the former Dishuiyan Bird Nature Reserve and forest landscape as the main body, the project has initially built the sightseeing walk around the mountain, leisure community, climbing path, forest fire control system and other facilities. Due to historical reasons, the property right of Dishuiyan nursery, which is the site of the second phase construction project with the park entrance and exit as the main body, belongs to the Guangzhou Municipal Construction Committee. In order to comprehensively promote the construction of Ecological Forest Park and ensure the smooth progress of key projects of central town construction, the municipal government, the central town construction office, the Municipal Construction Commission, the Municipal Bureau of agriculture, the Municipal Finance Bureau, the district government, the District Finance Bureau, the district land and housing Administration Bureau, the district municipal garden Bureau, and the district forest and fruit center attach great importance to the transfer of Dishuiyan nursery, and the Municipal Construction Commission and other departments give more support to the transfer of Dishuiyan nursery In the history of construction and operation of Shuiyan nursery, all the objects and rights formed through various forms such as funding were transferred to Shawan Town Government for the construction of East Gate Square of Forest Park.

The forest vegetation of the forest park is all artificial forests, with a forest area of 409 hectares. What is more fascinating is the picturesque scene hidden behind the trees. Such a fairyland is not artificial, but the spring water flowing down from Dishuiyan forms a natural pond here. After the classification of the reservoirs, they converge into streams and flow away slowly. If you don't feel comfortable with the spring water in the mountain, you should continue to walk along the mountain road until you find the water stream in the mountain. Then you can really appreciate the mystery of Dishuiyan.

The spring water flowing through the mountain never stops for a long time. All kinds of legends about Dishuiyan have a certain mythical color. After experiencing the "water show", of course, we can't miss the "brightness of mountains" in Dishuiyan. In the park, there is the third high mountain qingluozhang in Panyu District. It is said that more than 4000 years ago, qingluozhang was a mountain island in the ancient Bay. Later, in the process of alluvial formation in the Pearl River Delta, the mountain island still stood on the plain like a barrier. In addition, there was a lush Hill nearby called "Luoshan", so it was named "qingluozhang".

The ecological public welfare forest on the mountain covers an area of more than 6000 mu, mainly including Pinus massoniana forest, Acacia forest, eucalyptus forest, etc. All the trees are irrigated by this natural reservoir. In addition to mountains and waters, the Anti Japanese Martyrs Monument in Shawan is also located at the foot of Dishuiyan mountain, which is also one of the patriotic education bases in Shawan Town. Compared with other forest parks in the area, Dishuiyan Forest Park may not be the largest, but the harmonious integration of beautiful scenery, bright mountains and outstanding people is also a good place to relax and calm your mind. Dishuiyan is a famous natural scenic spot in qingluozhang, Shawan. It is about 8 kilometers away from the central city of Panyu. It is known as "paradise for birds and paradise for wild animals".

Ticket information

Tickets are free. There are about 200 parking spaces in the East Square. Motor vehicles can park in an orderly and free way. Admission to the park is not allowed.

Local Delicacies

Ginger milk

Originated from the traditional folk food in the Pearl River Delta. The taste is mellow, smooth, sweet, slightly spicy, unique and has the function of warming stomach and surface heat.

There was a legend about ginger bumping milk. Once upon a time, in Shawan Town, Panyu city, Guangdong Province, an old woman had a cough. Later, she knew that ginger juice could cure her cough. But the ginger juice was too spicy for her to drink. Her daughter-in-law boiled water and milk with sugar and poured it into a bowl filled with ginger juice. Strangely, after a while, the milk curdled, and her mother-in-law suddenly felt fragrant. The next day, he got well. Therefore, Jiang bumping milk spread in Shawan Town. People in Shawan called "congealing" as "burying", so "Jiang bumping milk" was also called "Jiang burying milk" in Shawan.

The principle of making "Ginger milk" is that ginger milk is mainly made by the chemical reaction between ginger juice and milk in a certain temperature range (40-100 ℃). The traditional process is to lower the temperature of the milk slightly and make the finished product taste better.

Shawan white cake
