Xiatang with Chengqiao

Xiatang of Daicheng bridge is located in Canglang District, Suzhou city. It runs to the north of Daicheng bridge on the east side of Tangan. It starts from xinzaoqiao in the East, connects wuyachang with Yingfeng bridge in the north, and runs to Fenghuang street in the west, opposite to gunxiufang across the street.

No. 18 is the former site of Suzhou weaving department (now Suzhou No. 10 middle school in Jiangsu Province), so this lane was also known as zhizaofu farm and zhizaofu front in the old times. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, they once stayed in zhizaofu. No. 4 Chenzhai is an ancient building for control and protection. There are three level protection trees in the lane, one famous beech tree and three Osmanthus fragrans. There are three old trees in plum house No.14. In the early 1980s, 29 flower beds were built along the river, 20 meters of flower shed across the street was built in the middle, and extended to Xikou, with continuous green space, which was the first in the city. There is a weaving bridge between Daicheng bridge Xiatang and Shiquan Street, connecting the former site of weaving department and Wangshi garden. The lane is 448 meters long and 3.8-5.5 meters wide. In 1983, it was changed to pillow stone pavement.
