Lingyan pagoda

It is located in Lingyan temple, Lingyan mountain, about 15 kilometers southwest of Suzhou city. Also known as Yongzuo tower, it was built in the second year of Liang Tianjian (503) of the Southern Dynasty. It is a wooden brick tower.

brief introduction

It was rebuilt during the Song Dynasty and destroyed by lightning in the late Ming Dynasty. The existing brick tower was built in the 15th year of Qianlong (750). The tower is octagonal in plane, 7-level, solid, with many Song Dynasty inscriptions on the wall. Each floor is surrounded by four doors, staggered layer by layer, in the same form as the twin towers in the city.

Lingyan mountain is located next to Mudu Town, 30 miles southwest of Suzhou city. Take bus No.16 to the foot of Lingyan mountain and get off.

Ticket Price

The ticket price of Mudu is 50 yuan. The structure of the town is typical of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Zhu Hongxing noodle restaurant has traditional characteristics. Admission: 10 yuan for banyan mansion; 15 yuan for Gusong garden; 20 yuan for Yanjia Garden (35 yuan for the above three scenic spots); 20 yuan for Hongyin mountain house; 1 yuan for Lingyan mountain.
