Wansheng rice shop

Wansheng rice shop is a time-honored shop in Luzhi town. It started in the early Republic of China. It was jointly operated by Shen and fan in the town and then transferred to the Yin family. The large-scale rice line, with nearly 100 rice storage rooms, was the leading rice line in Wudong area at that time, and became one of the grain distribution centers in Luzhi town and more than 10 surrounding towns. The pattern of the rice shop is "front shop and back yard". In front of the shop are shops for business, and in the back are rice processing workshops and grain storage warehouses. The hebutou of the rice bank is called "hetantou" in local dialect, which is a wharf for loading and unloading rice. When a pair of new valleys come on the stage and boats gather here, the lively scenes described in the novel will appear.

The novel collected more than three or five duels was once selected into the middle school Chinese textbook by the people's education press, in which the segment describing the scene of Zhuomi, with the title of Zhuomi, was also selected into the primary school Chinese textbook. Wansheng rice line also became famous at home and abroad.

The development of rice industry

In fact, the prototype of Wansheng rice line is wanchengheng rice line in Nanshi of Luzhi Town, which is located on the West Bank of Nanshi River in Luzhi town. It is located in the South Gate of Luzhi ancient town. From Nantang port northbound to the South Bridge, or from Tiandu River on the west side of the town to yamenbang bridge, it comes to the river quay of Wancheng hengmi line.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, this rice shop, like other rice shops, was transformed into a grain purchasing station and grain warehouse of the local grain management office. It has been undertaking the task of purchasing summer wheat and autumn rice in rural areas of Luzhi for the country. In the late 1980s, China's rural reform continued to deepen, the agricultural structure continued to adjust, the state grain production and purchase policy for farmers continued to open, the local grain purchase function gradually improved. Until the end of 1990s, the local grain management office's grain purchase and residents' grain supply went to the market, and "Wansheng rice line" also completed its historical mission.

The "Wansheng rice line" we see today is a reconstruction project of Luzhi people's Government in 1998 to develop the tourism industry of the ancient town. It is located on the East Bank of Nanshi River, which is more than 100 meters away from the original site of "Wansheng rice line". The rebuilt "Wansheng rice shop" strives to reproduce the style of the Jiangnan rice market in the Republic of China. Under the eaves of the three Bay facade, there is a gold lettered signboard of "Wansheng rice shop". In the shop, there is a counter for collecting and selling grain and a sign of "thousands of merchants gather" on it. Behind the shop is the spacious Shigui courtyard. Through the courtyard, you come to "leigui hall". In the hall, there are old-fashioned rice farming tools and rice processing tools in Jiangnan. It has become a "farm tools Museum" with unique water style.
