Xishan

Xishan

Xishan Mountain in Beijing is a branch of Taihang Mountain. It was called "the head of Taihang Mountain" in ancient times, also known as xiaoqingliang mountain. It is like a boa constrictor rising from Tengjiao, defending Beijing from the West. Therefore, the ancients called it "Shenjing right arm".

Introduction to Xishan

Geographical landscape

Xishan Mountain is the northern end of Taihang Mountain, with continuous peaks and mountains. It has passed through several districts and counties, such as Fangshan, Mentougou, Shijingshan and Changping. Yongding River, which was called Wuding River in ancient times, runs through it and cuts Xishan Mountain into two sections, North and south. As for Cuiwei mountain, pingpo mountain, Lushi mountain and Xiangshan Mountain which are close to the urban area, as well as Heye mountain and Weng mountain which are the remaining veins of Xishan Mountain. For hundreds of years, I don't know how many literati have been attracted by the scenery of the four seasons of Xishan Mountain, enjoying the scenery of the four seasons of Xishan Mountain. The poet Chen zhisui's Xia Qi Xi Shan said: "if you don't want to come here for a while, the west mountain is a forest. The withered root drips, the spring rings, and the tender butterfly embraces the flower. The cicadas are lazy in the afternoon, and the court shade and couch trace are deep. Bai Yunru intentionally wears bamboo to accompany Qingyin. " This is the poetic expression of the west mountain.
