Pingyang Lake

Pingyang lake is located in the gorge of Beimian River in Niangziguan village. It is gourd shaped, with towering huge cliffs on both sides and light water flow on the lake surface. It is called "the first artificial lake in Shanxi". It is said that this is the place where Princess Pingyang guarded in those days. She spent her whole life here, which can be described as singing and crying.

Brief introduction to lakes

Pingyang lake is 1.5km long and 3M deep in average. It is shaped like a gourd. It is filled with water by a rubber dam with a width of 50m and a height of 5m. It is located in the Mianhe River Valley under Niangziguan village. The lake water falls from the dam surface into the lower reaches of the valley, forming a spectacular snow waterfall dam. On both sides of Pingyang lake, there are towering cliffs, tortuous terrain, green grass, waterfalls, smoke trees, people's homes, lakes and mountains, picturesque scenery, and boating. You can enjoy the unique charm of the north and the south of the Yangtze River.

Development history

Hold the first dragon boat race of "Taibai Mountain Cup" in Meixian County

All the people gather to welcome the Dragon Boat Festival, and all the boats compete to shine in Meiwu. On June 18, in the beautiful Pingyang lake of Meixian County, the first "Taibai Mountain Cup" Meixian dragon boat race, sponsored by the CPC Meixian County Committee and the people's Government of Meixian County, was solemnly held here. Tens of thousands of people attended the race.

The opening ceremony of the dragon boat race was presided over by Du Yongshe, chairman of the county CPPCC Committee. Ye Shengqiang, county magistrate, delivered a speech. Li Ying, vice mayor of the municipal government, announced the opening of the dragon boat race. Wu Yuxing, deputy inspector of Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau, Li Xing'an, vice chairman of Baoji CPPCC, Huang Xiaoping, director of Shaanxi water sports management center, Wang Li, Deputy Secretary General of Baoji municipal government and other leaders attended the ceremony.

More than 400 athletes from 17 county-level government agencies, enterprises and institutions participated in the 200m straight track race and the 500m straight track race, and four professional dragon boat teams in the province participated in the performance competition. After fierce competition, Fulin catering team won the championship of 200m and 500m straight race, while Baoshenyi paradise team and Tianlong real estate team won the runner up of 200m and 500m straight race respectively.
