Zibaishan National Forest Park, located in Liuba County, Hanzhong City, is a national forest park. The unique Tiankeng and caotan on the top of Zibai mountain are known as the first Tiantan community in Asia. They are known as "no mountain after Huangshan Mountain, no water after Jiuzhai mountain, no grass after Zibai mountain". Zibaishan is also famous for Zhang Liang's seclusion in the Han Dynasty. Relying on the eco-tourism resources, Liuba county has invested more than 100 million yuan in the construction of tourism hardware and software, such as scenic roads, tourist reception center and cableway.

In February 2020, in order to pay homage to the "most beautiful reverse Walker", zibaishan National Forest Park will be open to medical staff free of charge and other preferential policies from the date of reopening to December 31, 2020.

Development history

Zibaishan National Forest Park, located in Liuba County, Hanzhong City, became a National Forest Park in February 2009. The unique Tiankeng and caotan on the top of Zibai mountain are known as the first Tiantan community in Asia. They are known as "no mountain after Huangshan Mountain, no water after Jiuzhai mountain, no grass after Zibai mountain". Zibaishan is also famous for Zhang Liang's seclusion in the Han Dynasty.

On the morning of April 29, 2009, more than 5000 people attended the opening ceremony of zibaishan National Forest Park. On the same day, Liuba also held the Zibai mountain climbing competition, artistic performance, lion dance and other cultural and sports activities

geographical environment

Zibai mountain is located in the southwest of Liuba County, bordering Baoji City. It is a branch of Taibai Mountain, the main peak of Qinling Mountains. With an altitude of 1300-2600 meters, the mountain is majestic and spectacular. There are many purple cypresses on the mountain, so it is called purple Cypress Mountain. This place has abundant rainfall and refreshing climate, lush vegetation and green water, and picturesque scenery.

The tourist area has a humid and pleasant climate, high vegetation coverage, superior natural conditions and rich tourism resources. It is a comprehensive eco-tourism area integrating sightseeing, vacation, leisure, science popularization, health care, exploration and other functions. According to the geographical location and resource characteristics, the tourist area can be divided into Zibai mountain, karst cave group and yanziping.

Zibai mountain is located in the southern foot of Qinling Mountains, with the highest altitude of more than 2600 meters. It is one of the three famous mountains in Shaanxi Province. The top of the mountain is covered with a whole piece of Eulaliopsis binata, which is made up of pot shaped "Tiankeng" with a diameter of about 500 to 1000 meters. The silver white stones scattered on the grass are dotted with black stripes. From a distance, it looks like a green carpet inlaid with gems.

Main attractions

Zibai mountain has a unique landform, beautiful natural scenery, many wild animals and plants, and a forest coverage area of 4000 hectares. At the foot of the mountain, the Zhangliang temple is backed by Zibai mountain. Its highest building, the "Teaching Library", stands on the top of the mountain, hidden between Zibai and Qingsong, and looming in the sea of clouds.

Zibai mountain is the highest mountain in the world due to Zhang Liang's seclusion. The highest altitude is 2610 meters. The mountains are towering and winding. Since ancient times, it has been said that "72 caves, 82 tans and 92 peaks". It is one of the three famous mountains in Shaanxi, which is as famous as Huashan and Lishan. The subalpine meadow with an altitude of more than 2200 meters covers an area of more than 20000 mu, and there are more than 100 big and small pots, which has been confirmed as "the largest Tiantan community in China".

According to reports, there are hundreds of strange stones in the huge Tiankeng. Some pits grow golden orchids, some pits grow green wild onions. In the flat place between pits, there are thick and short "bonsai" trees, which are called "Alpine willow" by local people.

At the long distance station of Hanzhong North Ring Road, take the long distance bus from Hanzhong to Liuba for 2 hours, and the fare is 18 yuan.
