Jiankuoling

Jiankuoling

Jianqiling is called Qishan (mountain name). It is located 30 kilometers northeast of Qishan County, with an altitude of more than 1600 meters. There are two sides of the mountain, the East and west facing each other, with a gap in the middle, which is shaped like an arrow. It is also said that when Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, was digging the road leading to the Jiucheng palace, there was a very narrow place with hard stone walls, which made it difficult for the people to dig. So he asked general Yuchi Jingde to shoot with arrows. After several arrows, he opened up a pile of earth and stone, so it was called "jianhuoling". Later, it was read as "jiangualing".

There are green cages on the mountains, cypresses hanging on the cliffs, birds crowing, and wild deer haunting. It has a quiet wild taste. There are inscriptions on the cliff, such as "there is a wonder of jade girl pool in the north, floating away" and so on.

Qishan is famous both at home and abroad. As early as the 16th century, shinchang Zhitian, a famous Japanese military general, admired the great cause of King Wen and King Wu of Zhou Dynasty in unifying the world according to Qishan, so he renamed the occupied "wellhead" as "Gifu". Since 1987, the mayor of Gifu city and other officials of Japan have made many special trips to Zhouyuan area to explore this historical origin. When Japanese guests saw the mysterious and magnificent scene of jiankuoling, they expressed their admiration. Jiankuoling has become a hot spot for Chinese and foreign tourists.
