Tianhua Mountain National Forest Park is located in the south slope of Qinling Mountains and the northwest of Ningshan County, Shaanxi Province, with an area of 6954 hectares and an altitude of 732-2964 meters. It is divided into four major scenic spots: Qinling Liang, Xihe, Lianghe and Tianhua mountain, with 92 scenic spots and scenery.

There are more than 1500 kinds of higher plants in the park, including more than 700 kinds of woody plants, and more than 20 kinds of rare and endangered plants under state key protection, such as xiangguoshu, Taibai Redwood, Qinling fir, Lianxiang tree, echinacea, Magnolia officinalis, wild soybean, Gastrodia elata, and more than 250 kinds of wild animals, including 190 kinds of birds, 30 kinds of mammals, 20 kinds of amphibians and reptiles, and 10 kinds of fish, which are precious plants under state key protection There are 26 species of wild animals in Guizhou Province, including giant panda, golden monkey, takin, clouded leopard, forest musk deer, gazelle, big civet, little civet, red bellied pheasant and giant salamander.

Geography

Due to the high mountains and complex terrain of Qinling Mountains, the climate of north subtropical zone, warm temperate zone, temperate zone and cold temperate zone is distributed from bottom to top according to the altitude. The forest vertical landscape belt spectrum is obvious, mainly including deciduous broad-leaved mixed landscape belt with evergreen trees, Quercus variabilis landscape belt, Quercus pine landscape belt, birch landscape belt, fir landscape belt and subalpine meadow landscape belt. The forest has rich seasonal changes and different scenery in four seasons, so it is suitable for sightseeing. Here, there are many peaks, ravines, peaks, waterfalls and pools. The subalpine with an altitude of more than 2700 meters has left traces of Quaternary glaciers, huge stone mounds, and various shapes, such as stone sea and stone river.

There are not only Wengong temple, hanging coffin, ancient plank road site, ancient manor site, Dawang village, Bodhisattva temple, mountain temple and other historical sites, but also Red Army plank road, Red Army slogans, revolutionary martyrs cemetery, lingkouzi battle site and other modern revolutionary relics. It is the base for patriotism education.

Traffic information

Tianhua Mountain National Forest Park is 86 kilometers away from the county seat of Hucheng and 60 kilometers away from Ningshan county seat. If you travel from Xi'an, you can take the train to Huxian or the rest of the stations, and then transfer to Hucai highway to get into the mountain directly to Tianhua Mountain National Forest Park. You can also take a bus at Xi'an bus station and go to the forest park via Xihu first-class highway and Hucai highway.
