natural resources
Litchi Bay is located in the west of Guangzhou city. If you open your hand, you have to cover all the areas of today's Liwan Road, Zhongshan eighth Road, Huangsha Avenue (North Section), Duobao Road (West Section) and Longjin West Road. This is the old version of litchi bay with "a bay of green water, and litchi red on both sides". Originally, this area was regarded as a low-lying marsh along the Bank of the Pearl River. According to legend, in 206 BC, Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, sent Lu Jia to Guangzhou to persuade Zhao Tuo to surrender. At that time, Lu Jia was stationed in today's Xicun village. Near his residence, he planted litchi, opened up lotus ponds, and planted lotus root, water chestnut, water chestnut, arrowhead and bamboo shoot As time goes on, a picture of idyllic scenery in the western suburb of Yangcheng is produced. Over two thousand years, litchi Bay has experienced profound changes.
Litchi is rich in Litchi Bay, which has been recorded in Jin Dynasty. In Tang Dynasty, there was a "litchi garden". In the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the Southern Han Dynasty, which ruled southern Guangdong, built a "Changhua garden" at litchi Bay and planted "red litchi" all over it. Liu, the empress of the Southern Han Dynasty, who received the blessing from the emperor, even held a "red cloud banquet" in the hot summer, inviting guests from all walks of life and officials to drink happily for ten years! It can be said that "the world of mortals laughs and banquets, the red clouds, more than 200 years of Lizi fan", rich and luxurious, enjoy the glory. In the Ming Dynasty, due to the continuous expansion of the water system, the sinuous streams of Xichuan had become a magnificent trend of the river network, so the Liwan river flowed to the baietan River, which made the noisy brocade of lizhiwan add embroidery, and turned into the Wangyang scenery of the water country -- with "Liwan Fishing Song" listed as one of the eight sceneries of Yangcheng. In the Qing Dynasty, it was famous as "Haishan fairy house". In modern times, especially after the 1920s, a lot of yachts appeared. On the summer night of Li Hong and he Xiang, the moon was bright and the wind was clear, and the water was rippling in the twinkling and swaying branches. Tourists were sitting in the Baqiao boat and on the qingzhouchuan River, shuttling back and forth in the beautiful Lizhi Bay. On the one hand, they were facing the water and sucking the honey along the way Try litchi, watermelon, fish porridge, boat porridge, fried snails and other snacks As a result, litchi Bay has become a paradise and fairyland in the hearts of the people.
With the invasion of Japanese enemy, the tranquil and peaceful east garden was filled with smoke, and the former colorful litchi Bay gradually turned from prosperity to decline, becoming lonely, desolate and desolate. In the 1940s, with the expansion of the urban area of Guangzhou, the urban population gradually increased. Both sides of the rivers and streams of litchi Bay became the settlements of vegetable farmers and poor people. The residents cut down the litchi trees to build houses. In addition, in the late 1940s, the nearby area of Litchi Bay became the modern industrial base of Guangzhou, resulting in river pollution, which made it difficult to adapt to the growth of litchi trees.
After the liberation, especially in the past 20 years, with the acceleration of urban construction in Guangzhou, the rivers in the past have become sewers, and many residential buildings and high-rise buildings have been built in the vegetable fields and lotus ponds. "A bay of streams is green, and litchi is red on both sides." it can only preserve the former Liwan scenery in the Liwan Lake Park built in the 1950s. In order to restore the former style and features of litchi Bay, the Party committee and government of Liwan District put forward the construction of Liwan Lake scenic spot in the formulation of the construction plan of commercial and tourism area of Liwan District. Based on Liwan Lake, the scenic line at the outlet of Liwan and the lakeside should be built, the special scenery of litchi Bay in the past should be restored, and the famous architectural gardens and temples in the former litchi Bay should be restored, as well as the stele corridor and delicious food Street, pay attention to one of the eight ancient Yangcheng "Liwan fish sing.". Liwan Lake scenic spot has been implemented.
