Shiniu Mountain Forest Park

The mountain is a typical complete radial volcanic collapse basin. The peak formed by Mesozoic volcanoes constitutes a rich and wonderful rock cave. With all kinds of myths and legends given by people, this natural landscape adds charming color. Many of the rocks are filled with magical objects, some of which are straight cut and hung like a stele square, such as a city gate, some of which are like a penholder, such as a couch, such as flowers, such as a flying phoenix, and other animals. There are more than 100 caves with twists and turns. It is said that during the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Yongtai Taoist Zhang Ziguan, Xianyou Taoist Xiao Langrui and Minqing Taoist Zhang Langqing once fought with mandrills here. There are dozens of footprints and fingerprints on the rocks, as well as relics such as sword inserting stone, anvil stone, xijianquan, stone basin and yanfazi.

The ancient Shihu temple at the foot of the mountain was built in 1640, the year of chonggengchen in the Ming Dynasty. It was burned down in 1939 during the war. In recent years, it has been repaired by overseas Chinese and local people. There is a dragon pool in front of the temple. In the pool lies a stone ox, which seems to sink and float in the water, with vivid shape.

There are also ancient "yitianmen", "ertianmen", "Santianmen", "changshengta", "shihufudi", "Dongtian", "daketai" and some obscure cliff poems and inscriptions in Shiniu mountain.
