Lightning River prairie Lake Resort, built in 1997, is located 10 kilometers northeast of pingdingbao town. It is located at the southern end of Xilinguole prairie on the Inner Mongolia Plateau. It was once the famous hinterland of jinlianchuan in history. It has Jingming palace of Jin Dynasty, chahannaoer palace of Yuan Dynasty, rouge Racecourse of Qing Dynasty and other sites.
