Wudaogou scenic spot is located in the northwest of Weichang County, Hebei Province, in the forest area under the jurisdiction of Mulan Weichang state owned Forest Farm Administration Bureau, with a total area of 48.3 square kilometers. This is the site of one of the seventy-two fences of Mulan paddock in Qing Dynasty (halangguiwei is Mongolian, which means blackening place in Chinese). It is the most well preserved paddock with natural features, mainly including Wudaogou, longtangou and Lianyin village.

Wudaogou scenic spot is rich in species, including 693 species of 382 genera in 96 families, including 21 species of national protected plants; 235 species of terrestrial vertebrates in 145 genera in 67 families, including 201 species of national protected animals. ——The forest coverage rate of Wudaogou scenic spot is 92.1%. There are a large area of birch, poplar, pine and other coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, and a large number of ornamental shrubs and wild flowers. Every time the breeze blows, thousands of heads are moving and blue waves are rippling. In autumn, the forests are colorful.

——Sand forest Wudaogou scenic area is mostly sandy soil, the original state of well preserved forest in Wudaogou has a very professional name, namely "sand forest". Pinus tabulaeformis, spruce, Betula platyphylla, Acer truncatum, Rhododendron and other plants growing on the sandy land form the dominant community in the sandy land. It is of great scientific value for ecological construction in arid and desertification areas to deeply study sandy forest, explore its inherent natural succession law and seek new ways to increase sandy vegetation.

——Alpine meadow is located in the high altitude area of Wudaogou scenic spot. The vegetation type is typical alpine meadow. Ornamental flowers such as Trollius chinensis, Papaver nudiflora, Paeonia lactiflora and Hongjingtian are widely distributed. When a hundred flowers bloom, green grass and flowers, blue sky and white clouds set off each other, forming a beautiful picture of colorful.

——Strange mountains and stones are mainly concentrated in lianyinzhai scenic area and longtangou scenic area. There are deep valleys and narrow gullies. There are many peaks and mountains. The shape is peculiar and the landscape is changeable. Being on the scene, I have the feeling of "two valleys with bright mirrors, beautiful mountains with me".

——Longtan waterfall is rich in water resources and ravines. The spring falls down the cliff to form a waterfall. The waterfall strikes the stone to form a pool, which is called "Longtan" by people, hence the name of longtangou scenic spot.

Wudaogou scenic spot has conquered every visitor with its unique natural landscapes such as mountains, rocks, water, forest and grass. Visitors here all say with emotion that it is simply "Jiuzhaigou beyond the Great Wall" and "the most beautiful place in autumn in China".

Development and construction
