Beihe Bridge

Beihe Bridge

Introduction to scenic spots

The bridge, which was opened to traffic in May 2011, closely connects the two sides of Beihe River in LUANNAN COUNTY. Beihe River, located in the north of LUANNAN COUNTY, was called Tongjin River, Xuanhe River and Yunliang River in ancient times. In history, Beihe River played an important role in the history of transporting grain from north to south. It can be traced back to the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty when Cao Cao launched a canal to transport grain to Wuhuan. It is recorded in the annals of luanzhou that "in the west of the city, we will meet the Longtang River and Wujiahe River, enter the Qinghe River, and do not go out as the ancient canal". In the Yuan Dynasty, we took the city as the habitat for food, and the canal commander, Yan Tuozhan, led us to "then we shujue the lufengou as the transportation road, leading Luanhe River to Qinghe River, tracing the two rivers to the city".
