Baishifeng

Baishifeng is located in the south of Chabuchar County, with a straight-line distance of 48 km. The main peak is 3475 meters above sea level. Baishi peak is the peak on the ridge of Wusun mountain, with three peaks in a row, nearly east-west. The terrain of the peak area is dangerous, with four steep walls, the north slope is the most, and the peak is relatively open. The peak is composed of Carboniferous limestone, which is grayish white from a distance, so it is named baishifeng. It is also called shayanhada in Xibo language, which means baishifeng.

Environmental Science

The landscape of Baishi peak is different. The peak area above 3000 meters is abrupt, with Baishi as the top; the snow stops at 2700-3000 meters, with green and white glow; and the forest is dense, with green grass as the skirt below 2700 meters. The mountains are majestic, with waterfalls and springs, unpredictable weather and colorful flowers. A variety of rare animals and plants, deeply attracted visitors, or stop to look, or chase to look. Mysterious caves, huge mushroom stones and holy water on the top of the white peak are waiting for tourists from all over the world.

In summer, white clouds surround her. In winter, white snow envelops her. All year round, she is always so pure and mysterious.

Myths and legends

For thousands of years, although baishifeng did not use language to write history for herself, people living under her feet have told her story from generation to generation: in the legend of Xibe people, she defeated the black and white Troll with her own justice, opened the way to freedom and happiness, but left the mark of Troll on her forever. It is also popular among Kazaks and Uighurs: it is said that three immortals once drank wine and chanted poems on the mountain. They proposed to choose a cemetery for each of their tribes, and the archery place should be taken as the standard. As a result, one arrow was shot at the Yili River, one at honghaigou, and the other at the side of balsh Lake (now in Kazakhstan). Later, these three places became "Maza" (Uyghur: Cemetery). Up to now, the top of Baishi peak has the stove used by immortals and the footprints of archery and bowing Myth or legend, in people's minds, baishifeng is the representative of power, is the embodiment of justice, it will always fascinate future generations.
