Study experience
Study and research experience
After graduating from university in the 1960s, Chen zuwu first went to Kunming to teach. Less than a year ago, he experienced a decade of "Cultural Revolution". During the "Cultural Revolution", Chen zuwu was sent to a warehouse in a freight yard to work with the stevedores. His hard life did not kill his will. In the past ten years, reading has always been an important part of his life. It was not until 1976, when the gang of four was smashed, that Chen zuwu was able to return to the University Forum. Ten years later, Chen zuwu got to know Professor Zheng Tianting, a famous historian. In 1978, the graduate enrollment system was restored. At the suggestion of Professor Zheng Tianting, Chen zuwu was admitted to the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of social sciences. He studied with the famous historian Yang Xiangkui at that time, and then entered the palace of Qing history research. As the first students of the graduate school, the study and living environment at that time was very difficult. The graduate school had no independent school, so it could only live with the students of Beijing Normal University. After graduating from graduate school in 1981, Chen zuwu has been working in the Institute of history. In the past 30 years, Chen zuwu has been assiduous, diligent in reading, cold and summer, lying at his desk day and night, focusing on the academic research of the Qing Dynasty. After years of research, Chen zuwu has profound attainments in the research field of ancient Chinese academic history, especially in the academic history of Qing Dynasty, and has made a lot of academic achievements with great weight and influence. Among them, academic speculation in the early Qing Dynasty and the history of Chinese academic cases are his representative works.
Academic speculation
Academic speculation in the early Qing Dynasty is Chen zuwu's first academic monograph. Published by China Social Science Press in 1992. From the perspective of the combination of social history and academic history, this book takes some important issues in the academic history of Shunzhi and Kangxi dynasties as the research objects, and combines many case studies as a whole to deeply explore the academic evolution trend, main characteristics and historical status in the early 80 years of the Qing Dynasty. As soon as the book was published, it received great attention and praise from the academic circles. Yang Xiangkui, a contemporary historian, spoke highly of this book. "Comrade Chen zuwu is good at thinking and learning. This is one of the most correct ways to talk about academic thought in combination with the social reality of the early Qing Dynasty. We can't talk about social trends of thought in isolation from the actual society. "If the skin doesn't exist, how can Mao attach himself"! The pre Qin scholars, the Confucian classics of the Han Dynasty, the metaphysics of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and the Neo Confucianism of the song and Ming Dynasties were all related to the society at that time. After liang rengong and Qian bin, zuwu's book will stand out. " In addition, some scholars believe that this book has three major characteristics: "the combination of social history and the history of academic thought", "the combination of macro research and micro research, the combination of theoretical analysis and historical facts research", "the combination of scholars and academic trends and academic schools", and "it is a powerful work to promote the research of the history of academic thought in the early Qing Dynasty". In the face of all kinds of praise, Chen zuwu is very modest. He only uses the simple eight words of "down-to-earth, truth-seeking" to encourage himself, which reflects Chen zuwu's rigorous academic style and modest style of study.
Main works
Professor Chen zuwu's main works include: Academic speculation in the early Qing Dynasty (1992), "history of Chinese academic cases" (1994), "Qianjia academic Chronicle" (co-author), "Qianjia school research" (co-author), etc.; his main papers include: "Gu Yanwu and the style of study in the Qing Dynasty", "the formation of Qianjia school from the perspective of anti Neo Confucianism in the early Qing Dynasty", "Wang Chuanshan's argument for goodness" and "Liang Qichao's criticism of the Qing Dynasty" The contribution of academic history research, sun qifenghe, miscellaneous knowledge, Zhu Xiji, and the collation of ancient books, several issues on the study of Chinese academic case history, and some thoughts on Qianjia school; the collation of ancient books: Chronicles of Li Long (1988), chronicles of Yan Yuan (1990), quotations of rongcun (1995).
The study of rites in Qing Dynasty
Professor Chen zuwu's recent research focuses on the study of rites in Qing Dynasty. He believed that the academic core of the Qing Dynasty was the study of Confucian classics, and the management of the academic history of the Qing Dynasty was an extremely important aspect. After hundreds of years of decline in the study of rites in song and Ming Dynasties, the Confucianism of Qing Dynasty began in the early Qing Dynasty and flourished in the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing. Up to the late Qing Dynasty, the study of rites changed with the world, and was finally summarized by sun Yirang's Zhouli Zhengyi and Huang Yizhou's Lishu Tonggu. The evolution of the study of rites in a generation is not only deeply influenced by the previous academic inheritance, but also inseparable from the rise and fall of a generation of society. Professor Chen zuwu has trained many postdoctors, doctors and masters, and his major is academic history of Qing Dynasty. The courses are: the academic history of Qing Dynasty, the history of Chinese classics, the history of Chinese learning plans and bibliography.
History of learning plan in China
The history of China's learning plan is the only monographic and systematic study on the history of learning plan in China. It is a pioneering work, which was published by Taiwan Wenjin publishing house in 1994. Chen zuwu often laments that his predecessors did not give a detailed account of the evolution of academic history, so he went back to the pre Qin scholars, historical records and Hanshu, from Zhu Xi's Yiluo Yuanyuan Lu in the Southern Song Dynasty to Xu Shichang's Qing Confucianism case in the Republic of China, and made the first systematic review of the formation, development and evolution of the historical records of the study case. In addition to his profound academic research in the early Qing Dynasty, Chen zuwu also made a systematic study of the Qianjia school and the late Qing Dynasty. Chen zuwu's major project "Qianjia school research" and its achievements "Qianjia academic Chronicle" and "Qianjia school research" break through the limitation of the former philosophers and sages dividing Wu school and WAN school by region, demonstrate the new understanding that Qianjia school is a historical development process, and discuss the mutual penetration, mutual influence and different development of regional academic in Qianjia period The historical role of the exhibition stage further illustrates the importance of the academic family which not only integrates into the contemporary academy but also retains the tradition of family learning. The mutual penetration and interaction between regional academy and academic family is undoubtedly helpful to deepen the overall grasp of the academic evolution of Qianlong and Jiaqing. Finally, the book systematically demonstrates the mainstream academic characteristics of Qian Jia school, which is characterized by simple textual research on classics and history, and deeply explains the social and academic background of its formation. In recent years, Chen zuwu began his academic exploration in the late Qing Dynasty. It can be predicted that Chen zuwu will make new achievements in this field.
Pursuit and message
It is Chen zuwu's lifelong pursuit to be erudite and have a sense of shame in his conduct. It is also Chen zuwu's message to our students. Confucius used it to teach his disciples. Later, Gu Yanwu, an academic master in the early Qing Dynasty, spoke out and became the pursuit of many people of insight at that time. Chen zuwu was moved by the bad atmosphere of the current academic circles and society. He advocated that we should integrate human learning into one and encourage with everyone. be in financial straits
