The ancient city of Hanoi is one of the towns of ancient Kashgar, which is located about 30 kilometers in the eastern suburb of Kashgar.

The ancient city is the site of Buddhists in Shule more than 1000 years ago. It is about 3 km long and 1 km wide. There are still earthen walls and pottery pieces all over the city. There are abandoned Karez under the hillside outside the city, which shows that the technology of digging Karez to divert water has been used in ancient times.
