Moliquan

Located 4 kilometers northwest of Lincheng Town, in the present Lingao normal school. Molihuan was originally a school built by Xie Wo, the magistrate of Lingao County in Song Dynasty. Xie Wo planted a lot of jasmine flowers in the courtyard, so it was called "Jasmine Pavilion".

brief introduction

Located 4 kilometers northwest of Lincheng Town, in Lingao normal school. In 1146, the prime minister Hu Quan was demoted to Hainan. When he passed Lingao, Xie Wo welcomed him to live in moliquan for a while. Hu Quan wrote a poem titled moliquan here. From then on, moliquan became more and more famous. According to the records of Lingao County annals, at that time, there was a man named Dai Dingshi in Bodun village of Lingao County. He was instructed by Hu Quan, so he studied hard. Later, he was elected in the examination and worked in the Ministry of officials. Moliquan has always been regarded as a center of Central Plains culture in Lingao.

Xie Wo believed in Buddhism and named it jasmine. It not only means worshiping Buddhism, but also reflects local customs, so it was named "Jasmine Pavilion".

history

In the 18th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D. 1148), Hu Quan was demoted to Jiyang Army (now Yacheng Town, Sanya City) for management. When he boarded from Leizhou Peninsula at tongchaoyi (now old town), Chengmai County, and passed Lingao, Xie Wo welcomed him to live in moliquan for a while, and asked Hu Quan to write a plaque inscription and give a speech on the spring and Autumn period. Hu Quan once wrote a poem here: "seeing the end of the world in Zhejiang, walking at the end of the world" (Title Molly Pavilion). Since then, moliquan has become more and more famous. It is the site of Lingao normal school.
