Ziburi mountain

Ziburi mountain is located in Dingri County of Shigatse area. The mountain extends from Dingri county to laodingri, about 55 kilometers long. The shape of the mountain is peculiar, changeable, magnificent and extraordinary.

There are ruins of a palace and fortress in the holy mountain of ziburi. The scale of the palace is quite grand, with high walls, arched gates, core palaces, temples and blockhouses. Ziburi holy mountain is regarded as a "holy mountain" by the local people. Every year, they turn around the "holy mountain" to worship God and pray for God's blessing. According to the scientific identification, there are a large number of insect fossils in ziburi mountain, which is of scientific research value.

Ziburi mountain is also called Feilai mountain. August, September and October are the golden seasons for travel.

Historical legend

It is said that the mountain came from India and later wanted to fly away. So Sakyamuni nailed two wooden stakes in each corner of the mountain. Since then, ziburi mountain has settled down here. There are 108 temples, 108 burial platforms, 108 springs and 108 caves on the mountain.

Tourism information

Shigatse is an ancient city, located in the wide valley plain where the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Nianchu River meet, backed by the magnificent NIMA mountain, with an average altitude of 3850 meters. The altitude of Shigatse is similar to that of Lhasa. The oxygen content of Shigatse is about 60-70% of that of the mainland. Most of the guests will have different degrees of altitude reaction. August, September and October are the golden seasons for tourists to Tibet. The temperature in Shigatse is 8-20 ℃.

Mainly by hiking, luggage can hire local yak team and horses. There are no hotels or restaurants on the way, so you need to bring your own daily necessities.
