Peikucuo

Located at the junction of Jilong county and Nyalam County, Xigaze City, Tibet, 250 km away from Dingri county.

Peikucuo is the largest inland lake in the Everest reserve, with an area of about 300 square kilometers and an altitude of 4590 meters.

The lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with open terrain and rich fish resources. There are wild horses, Tibetan wild donkeys, Tibetan antelopes, cranes, yellow ducks, grey ducks and other activities along the lake bank.

Compared with Namucuo, mapanyongcuo, Selincuo and Yangzhuoyong Lake, peikucuo is not famous. Fortunately, with the reflection of Xixiabangma peak (60km to the Hunan side) and the sound of the Yarlung Zangbo River (40km to the Hubei side), this treasure gourd shaped mountain Haizi, which represents auspiciousness, has a reason to move and stop.

Best travel time

In Tibet, where peikucuo is located, the air is thin, the solar radiation is strong, the sunshine time is long, the temperature is low, and the daily temperature difference is large. The whole year is divided into dry season and rainy season. In August, the daytime temperature is above 10 ℃, while the nighttime temperature drops below zero ℃. The best tourism season is spring and autumn.

Along the Lhasa Shigatse Razi saga Jilong highway, that is to the lake area. If you want to see Xisha Bang Marco choose to go from saga county to Jiaji ferry, the ferry will open from 10:00 to 18:30 (winter) and 9:30 to 19:00 (summer). It costs 30 yuan / car to ferry the Yarlung Zangbo River, and 350 yuan / car to cross the peikucuo nature reserve on the way. After leaving saga, you can clearly see Mount Xisha.
