Yutian reservoir is a pivotal project located in Xianghu Town, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, China. It was built in 1958.

·Yutian reservoir, formerly known as Yuejin reservoir, is a tourist area in Jingdezhen, known as Yutian Lake scenic spot, 12 kilometers away from Jingdezhen city.

Storage capacity

·Yutian reservoir was built in 1958. It has abundant water resources and excellent vegetation. The water surface in the reservoir is open, the longest part of the main water surface is about 2.1 km from northeast to southwest, and the widest part from northwest to southeast is about 0.7 km. The rainwater collection area is up to 100 ha. The water surface is 153 HA in wet season and 106 HA in fish culture, with a total storage capacity of 23 million m3.

Flood control and power generation

·The reservoir also has the function of hydropower generation. It has two hydropower stations behind the dam and two installed units, with a total capacity of 325kw. It is a medium-sized reservoir with comprehensive utilization of irrigation, flood control, power generation, breeding and tourism. In 2002, Jiangxi Province and Jingdezhen city invested a lot of money to implement the dam reinforcement project, which greatly improved the flood control capacity.

Scenery of reservoir area

·The whole reservoir area has green peaks and blue waves. Its water surface is quite like a lake. There are islands in the lake and forests in the island. Now, it has been preliminarily developed as a recreational base, pavilion and fishing base in Orange Island, as well as Xianrenqiao, Shizishan and karst cave. The reservoir has a great influence in Jingdezhen, and local people often go to sightseeing, fishing and other leisure activities.
