Ginkgo Village

There used to be a big ginkgo tree in this village, which could only be encircled by several adults for a week. It is said that Liu Bei tied a horse on this tree during the Three Kingdoms period, so the villagers are very proud of it. There is also a gingko temple under the tree, so the tree is very big. This temple has a unique location, so it is famous for its endless stream of tourists, so it is named gingko village.

Introduction to scenic spots

There are more than 2000 mu of ginkgo trees planted in the village. From the end of September to December, the small mountain village is covered with tall ginkgo trees, and the ginkgo leaves on the ground are just like a golden carpet, which covers all the courtyards and courtyards of the village. The scenery is beautiful. In addition, there are many scenic spots, such as the magical ancient cave in Jiangdong mountain, the beautiful Xiaojiang gorge of Longchuan River, the mysterious ancient battlefield "ghost sharpening needle", the vicissitudes of Shimen ancient plank road, and the jagged Lotus Mountain.

1. Take the minibus to Gudong at the northwest passenger station of Tengchong City, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. It takes about 15 minutes from 8:00 to 19:00. After arriving at Gudong market town, there is a minibus to Jiangdong. It costs 7 yuan one way

2. In chengdongying garden of Tengchong County, there is a special car to Gudong. You can take only four people to get off, or you can charter a car directly. The one-way fare from Tengchong to Gudong is 10 yuan per person, ranging from 150 to 200 yuan

Origin of village name

Gingko village in Tengchong County, Yunnan Province is called Jiangdong village. Tengchong County from the North drive more than 40 kilometers, less than an hour to the ancient ginkgo village. There are more than 3000 ginkgo trees dotted inside and outside the farmyard.

Most of the trees in ginkgo village here are over 100 years old, and Jiangdong village has become the most popular destination in Tengchong at the end of autumn. This is probably the largest, most concentrated and oldest ginkgo forest in Yunnan.

It is said that the villagers of Jiangdong village have migrated from the Central Plains. The shadow play culture here has a history of more than 600 years. Ancient ginkgo village was also one of the shooting places of the movie "martial arts".

In Jiangdong village, there are large and small ginkgo trees in front of and behind the house. When you get here, it's "gold all over the ground". It's most comfortable in the morning and evening. Ginkgo trees are relatively high, love photography with a telephoto lens, shooting can avoid the crowd, but also take a close-up of Ginkgo yellow leaves.
