Lingyun mountain, Nanchong

Lingyun mountain is located in Laojun Town, Gaoping District, Nanchong City, with Lingyun mountain Daojiao City, Baishan Buddhist city and Tushan Confucian culture center as the main body, covering an area of nearly 20 square kilometers. Lingyun mountain is 562.6 meters above sea level. It has the unique landforms of zuoqinglong, youbaihu, qianzhuque and houxuanwu. The mountains are continuous and the trees are towering. It has four characteristics of "majestic, strange, dangerous and secluded". Lingyun ancient temple on the top of the mountain was built in the late Han Dynasty. The existing Zhenwu palace is rebuilt in the light year of Qing Dynasty. There are natural wonders such as Yuxianling, JiangMo terrace, Laojun cave, Laolong cave, Wangfu cliff, Sheshen cliff and JIANGJUNFEN It enjoys the reputation of "Lingshan in Guojun".

 

Main attractions

Baishan Temple

Baishan temple is located on the Lion Peak, with Lingyun in the East, Little Buddha in the west, Qinglian in the north and Yuechi in the south. In ancient times, Baishan temple was subordinate to the Great Buddha Temple in Guozhou. It was surrounded by cultivated land for several miles. It was well-known in the Han and Tang Dynasties, and has the reputation of "Xiaoxitian", a Buddhist holy land. On the side of the mountain, there are fairy caves, cliff tombs and pagodas, which are the places where the eminent monks passed away. There are many places of interest in history, including the main hall, the golden light hall and the Guanyin hall. According to historical records: during the reign of Jingtai in the northern and Southern Dynasties, Zhang Yong, a Jinshi, founded the great hall. In the Tang Dynasty, Wuxiang Zen master once practiced Taoism in Shenxian cave. Later, there was a disciple named Keyou Zen master, who was named shengguanyin. In memory of Wuxiang Zen master, monk Jin became a Taoist and founded the golden light hall. The monks of Baishan temple built Guanyin hall in memory of master Keyou (Saint Guanyin). Wuxiang Zen master, a native of the state of Silla, has a common surname of Jin and is called monk Jin. He is the third generation of the fifth patriarch of Zen in China. The three FA seals are "no memory, no thought, no forget". Open the door of Zen and pure double cultivation. Baishan temple has experienced ups and downs. In 2000, under the care of the party and the government, Baishan temple was reopened. Up to now, the golden light hall and Huaguang hall have been rebuilt. The temple worships Burmese jade statues: golden light Tathagata, Huaguang Tathagata, Weituo Bodhisattva, etc. The palace is carved with dragons and painted with white jade railings. Zhenwu palace and Laojun pavilion are located on the back of tortoise. The huge stone behind Sanqing palace is like the head of tortoise. There are veins around Xuanwu mountain, which look like four feet of tortoise.

The main peak of Lingyun mountain is shaped like a giant turtle. The top of the mountain looks like the back of a tortoise, and the left and right roots of the mountain look like the two front feet of a tortoise. A huge stone protrudes from the tortoise shell in the middle, just like the head of a tortoise. The ancients chiseled a tomb on the head of a tortoise, and the local people offered a statue of Guanyin to send a son to the tortoise. The legend is very clever. On both sides of the back of the mountain, the roots of the mountain are pushed up, and there is a turtle tail in the back. The image is complete. Zhenwu palace and Laojun pavilion are located on the turtle's back. There are many huge stones on the right side of Zhenwu palace. Their shapes are very similar to those of turtles. They are made of heaven and earth. The tortoise's back armor is old, simple and powerful, just like the brand left by long years.

Zhenwu Palace

Zhenwu palace was built in the Qing Dynasty. On the wooden plaque, the word "Zhenwu Palace" was written by Fu Yuantian, the late president of China Taoist Association. In the middle of the main hall, there is a fully armed statue with armor and sword in hand. In front of the statue, there are ten marshals on the left and right porches. On the back of the main hall, separated by the wall of Zhenwu, there is a real Cihang. Laojun Pavilion is built on the top hill. It is simple and elegant with eight trigrams, carved beams and painted buildings. The stone statues in the pavilion interpret the story of Lao Tzu riding a green ox to transform Hu. The eight stone pillars outside the pavilion are relief sculptures of rolling dragon and holding pillars, with exquisite craftsmanship.

Under the care of the party and the government, since the restoration of development, the old Jun Pavilion and the Sanqing hall have been rebuilt, with Dragon carving buildings, white jade railings and steps of cloud stairs. What's more rare and non renewable are the Lingyun mountain's many exotic stones, such as Zuo Qinglong, you Baihu, Qian Zhuque and Hou Xuanwu. Fortunately, some of them are still intact.
