brief introduction

Jifei hot spring is located in the southwest of Changning County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, about 30 kilometers away from the county. On the first day of August in 1639 (the 12th year of Chongzhen), Xu Xiake, a geographer of the Ming Dynasty, toured the place and marveled: "the true vein of mountains and rivers, I have got it!". In shunning Fu Zhi of the Ming Dynasty, it is also written that Jifei hot spring: "Qingfeng is towering like a fist. In ancient times, it has been covered like a thread. The air is fumigated to meet Taixu, and the pure quality is slightly Yingxiu stone gap.". In 1982, it was listed as a county-level wind scenic spot. In 1987, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level by Changning County People's government.

Local people have the custom of boiling eggs in hot springs.

It is said that a long time ago, poison springs and dumb water were spread all over the foot of egg mountain in youdianba, and the indigenous people suffered a lot. In order to save the common people, heaven sent two great immortals to build a pagoda by pointing to the water as the spring. The spring water is edible and can cure the disease. It's a pity that some dandies in the village openly went to hot spring to slaughter cattle and dogs, wash filth and splash filth, which angered the heaven. On the night of the Lantern Festival, two immortals were sent to pick up the stone pagoda in the night rain and lift the hot spring southward. On the way, a pair of golden pheasants spread their wings and sang, leaving the chicken nest to fly south to the present Jifei village, hence the name of "Jifei" hot spring. The two immortals thought that the dawn was coming. After they landed the stone pagoda and hot spring around the golden rooster's nest, they asked the Golden Rooster to keep the hot spring and hot spring well, so as to benefit human beings, drive away cold and disease, and relieve disaster. It is said that because of the great trust of the immortal, the Golden Rooster would go back to the nest on the 15th day of the first lunar month, check the water temperature and quality, observe the people's situation, and relieve the people's suffering.
