Water splashing Festival viewing platform
Located on the Lancang River in the north-east of Jinghong City, the building adopts Dai style architecture. The roof is covered with glittering glazed tiles, and the eaves are pasted with various kinds of flowers, birds and animals loved by Dai people. The whole building is small, exquisite and beautiful.
In the middle of April every year, a commemorative meeting to celebrate the "Water Splashing Festival" is held here. Tens of thousands of people watch dragon boat rowing, lifting, ballooning, water lamps and literary and artistic programs. At the same time, it is also the most ideal place for Chinese and foreign guests to watch the celebrations.
