Mandian waterfall is located in the experimental area of Naban River Basin National Nature Reserve in Xishuangbanna, 24 kilometers away from Jinghong, which belongs to the Naban River Basin National Nature Reserve in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province.

Watching the waterfall

The mandian river originates from Mengsong Township, Menghai county. It has four levels. Mandian waterfall is located in a primeval forest. On both sides of the river bed are typical Valley rainforest vegetation. The rock top of the waterfall is covered with ancient trees and dense shade. On both sides of the waterfall, there are complex and diverse forest layers. Evergreen broad-leaved trees are tall and straight, competing for light and heat, extending branches and leaves in the high level; the middle level is the world of growing trees; under the forest, there are many shrubs and ancient vines intertwined with each other, winding the big trees and pulling the small trees, forming a valley forest landscape. The effect of viewing waterfall is better in rainy season from May to October
