Construction process

The project has basically completed the restoration of geological and ecological environment of abandoned mines, the construction of riverside hydrophilic garden and Qishi Cultural Park, and the protection and exhibition of some mining and geological relics. The landmark buildings at the main entrance of "Xiangshan National Mine Park" - rockery, entrance square and mine geological museum, giant dangkoushang amusement park and many mining sculpture projects are under construction, The subgrade of inner ring road and outer ring road of the park has been laid, and the later hardening work is in progress. The accumulated construction fund has been more than 20 million yuan.

Opening to the outside world

On the morning of June 16, 2008, Xuyi Xiangshan National Mine Geopark opened. Shi Pingyang, member of the Standing Committee and Minister of publicity of the county Party committee, Yong Mei, deputy director of the county people's Congress, Zhang Xiaohong, deputy head of the county, Ding Houyi, vice chairman of the CPPCC, and other relevant leaders of the county attended the activities.
