Foping panda Valley is located 20 kilometers north of Foping County, Shaanxi Province. It is located in Qinling Giant Panda Corridor and Guanyinshan nature reserve. It is extremely rich in rare wildlife resources.

In November 2018, Foping panda valley was selected as the best ecotourism destination of China National Tourism in 2018.

Historical evolution

Foping panda valley scenic area is located 20 kilometers north of Foping County, Shaanxi Province, next to 108 National Highway. Located in the Qinling Giant Panda Corridor and Guanyinshan nature reserve, there are extremely rich resources of rare wild animals and plants. In the scenic area, there are many peaks, clear streams, strange rocks, luxuriant trees and mountain flowers. Sometimes the green pool reflects the rocks, sometimes the waterfall falls snow, sometimes the steep cliffs stand, sometimes the winding paths lead to seclusion. Touching the ear stream, singing birds, makes people relaxed and happy. Sandiequan, erlongxizhu, nuertan, shuangxinchi and other scenic spots are natural, while Sansheng peak, mother and daughter peak, Qiyun peak and other natural wonders. In the wild giant panda base of Qinling Mountains, pandas are charmingly naive; in the golden monkey Grand Canyon, golden monkeys are flying in the branches; in the red bellied pheasant garden, the red bellied pheasant and other pheasants are beautiful and amazing. The scenic area integrates the quiet, beautiful, exotic and rare animals and plants of the Qinling Mountains. The famous "window of Qinling Mountains, panda home" is the best place for outing, leisure, summer, health preservation, photography and entertainment.

Foping county is located in the southern foot of Qinling Mountains, which is the North-South boundary of China's natural geography. There is no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. There are mountains, streams, rare birds and animals in Foping county. The eco-tourism resources are unique. Giant panda, primeval forest, exotic mountains and waters, and rare animals and plants can be called "four wonders".

There are 32 strange mountains and rocks, 3 karst caves, 13 waterfall and spring pools, 1 hot spring, 9 strange trees and vegetation, 7 scenic river sections, 17 cultural landscapes and historical sites.

Protection target

433 species of wild vertebrates have been found, including 13 species of national first-class protected animals such as giant panda, takin and golden monkey, and 39 species of second-class protected animals. It is the northernmost habitat of giant panda on the earth. It is called "the most promising place for wild giant panda to survive and reproduce" by experts. The wild distribution density of giant panda ranks the first in China, and it is recognized as Qinling subspecies, with the purpose of protecting giant panda It is a National Nature Reserve dominated by pandas.

Management measures

From a high starting point, we have compiled the tourism master plan, built a number of infrastructure facilities such as special tourism highways, meticulously packaged and launched a number of tourism products such as Qinling Museum of human and nature, dapingyu scenic area, Qinling international hunting ground, scientific exploration and sightseeing, and initially formed three excellent tourism routes. The construction of giant panda field research base has started, integrating summer vacation, landscape sightseeing, tourism The ecotourism service system integrating scientific research and exploration, sightseeing and hunting is gradually improving.

Development and utilization

The tourism publicity of "revisiting the thousand year old Sichuan Road, visiting the mysterious Qinling Mountains, getting close to the national treasure panda, and caring for the ecological home" is constantly expanding, and a new tourism image of "touring the ecological Foping, tasting the ecological culture, and purchasing the ecological products" is gradually unfolding in front of people.
