According to the genealogical records, the ancestor Zhang Wenzhong moved from the second year of Hongwu (1369) to live in dongguanshui Hutong of Pingdu City. Several generations later, in 1476, he built Zhizhou Lingong in Pingdu City. He needed a lot of bricks and tiles to build the city. His ancestors were good at pottery industry, so he went to the Sanli kiln factory in the south of the city to live in pottery, forming a Dayao village, which has a history of more than 500 years.

In 2005, the total income of village collective economy was 490000 yuan, and the per capita income was 5300 yuan.

The village is close to the Trade City, and the income from individual business is the main source of income for the villagers. There are more than 20 individual businesses in the village, with a total annual income of about 600000 yuan. Every year, the enterprise turns in more than 200000 yuan of village collective funds and 150000 yuan of state taxes.
