Xingyang botanical garden is located 15 kilometers west of Zhengzhou and in the south of Jingcheng road in Xingyang city. It is adjacent to national highway 310 in the south, Zhengshang road in the north, Jingcheng road in the East and Guangwu road in the West.

Xingyang botanical garden, the first phase of construction started on February 26, 2003, covering an area of more than 500000 square meters. With the concerted efforts of the people of the city, the project was completed on April 30. In August 2006, in order to further improve the service function of the botanical garden, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government made a scientific decision to implement the second phase project construction of the botanical garden.

In 2016, Xingyang botanical garden was officially named as a three-star Park in Henan Province by Henan Provincial Department of housing and urban rural development, which also filled the gap of no star park in our city. Xingyang botanical garden is named "Three Star Park"
