Nanfang Ao is located in the southeast of su'ao Town, Ilan County, northeast of Taiwan Province. It is a natural fishing port in the Pacific Ocean to the East. Besides being one of the three major fishing ports in Taiwan, Nanfang Ao is also an important base for ocean fishing in the East. Nanfang Australia has a population of more than 9000, of which 80% are engaged in fishing. Nanfang'ao fishing port is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The terrain is hidden and close to the fishing ground. It is a good natural port. It is connected with the opposite island by sandbanks to form a land island, thus forming a natural breakwater. During the Japanese occupation, the port was a completed fishing port, and the Nantian palace opposite was the local belief center. Aiming at the long-term development of nanfang'ao fishing port, the government of Ilan County planned and designed an arch steel bridge over the channel outside the third fishing port to replace the old hunchback bridge, so as to solve the problem of large fishing boats being unable to pass and enhance the development competitiveness of nanfang'ao fishing port. The beautiful arched steel bridge is not only a shortcut to connect with the outside world, but also forms a ring network with the existing roads around the port, so as to promote the overall development of the fishing port. There are three fishing ports and markets here, which vary according to their functions and characteristics. The first fishing market is about 2 p.m. every day, and the auction is held by the fishing association. The second fishing market is about 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day, which is sold by fishermen. Third, the Yugang road beside the fishing port is full of seafood shops and specialty shops. It is also a place where tourists gather.

Transportation guide

drive a car:

1. Take Beiyi highway in Taipei, connect with 9 provincial highway in Taiwan, and reach su'ao, about 4 km to nanfang'ao.

2. Taipei takes Taiwan line 2 (Binhai Highway) to su'ao, and then to nanfang'ao about 2.5km.

Take the train: take the north loop train in Taipei, get off at su'ao station, and then take the Guoguang bus to nanfang'ao or walk about 3 kilometers.

Hitchhiking:

1. Take the Guoguang bus from Ilan to Nanfang AO and get off at Nanfang Ao station.

2. Take Guoguang bus from Keelung to Suao and get off at Suao station (after Suao, take Guoguang bus to Nanfangao).
