Guguan Scenic Area

Guguan is the most famous scenic spot in the west section of Zhongheng highway, located in the middle of Taichung County. Since the Japanese occupation period, it has been famous for its hot spring, which was once called "Meiji hot spring". The hot spring is mild and has curative effect on arthritis and neuralgia.

After the opening of Zhongheng highway, the Dragon Valley Recreation Area of Guguan was opened up here, including sun moon pool, Yin Yang pool, second generation wood, monkey wood, fairy bridge, fairy Pavilion, Shuanglian bridge and Dragon Valley suspension bridge. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom. In autumn, maple is as red as fire. Along the path along the cliff, there are Miaozhen cave, Leiyin Pavilion, eight immortals chess table, Guanyin Valley, yixiantian, Cuigong Longyin and other places of interest, with unique scenery. More than 80 meters of Longgu waterfall is a natural beauty. In the park, birds sing and flowers smell. The facilities of animal garden, rare bird garden, aquarium district and monorail car ring garden are ingenious and add fun to visitors.
