Taishan temple tourist area

Taishan is located in Yunhua Township, 38 kilometers south of Wuyi County, with a total area of 5 square kilometers. In the territory, there are thousands of cliffs, magnificent momentum, beautiful peaks and lingering clouds. It is like a fairyland outside the world, known as a resort in central Zhejiang. Taishan temple is located on the top of Taishan Mountain. Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association, inscribed the name of the temple. According to records, as early as the Qiande period of the Northern Song Dynasty (963-968 A.D.), the eminent monks, known as Fu Hu Chan Master, said in Taishan that they built Taishan Temple by setting up an Chan in Mao and riding a tiger. Every night, the tiger lies on the big rock at the gate of the temple. For a long time, the tiger traces are still vaguely recognizable. After the expansion of the past dynasties, Taishan Temple began to take shape. In 1639 ad, it was renamed Zhenjing temple. In 1794 ad, it was renamed Taishan temple. In recent years, laicui Pavilion, front hall wing, Guanyin hall and Miaoyun pavilion have been restored and newly built. Gongde Pavilion, Shanmen archway, mountain corridor, bamboo Pavilion, burning stone pagoda and the 15 meter tall open-air statue of Amitabha Buddha in Nanbo are popular with tourists. Taishan Scenic Spot is an old revolutionary base with glorious tradition. In May 1928, Zeng Zhida, Secretary of Xuanping county Party committee, held an enlarged meeting of the county Party committee in Taishan temple, launched the expansion of rural Party branches and launched the "five year" rent reduction movement. In the middle of the Anti Japanese War, Xuanping wartime middle school and provincial Jinhua normal school moved to Taishan temple and Jingmiao Xuexue temple, which became the Qingjing school during the war. During the war of liberation, underground party guerrillas often operated in the area of Taishan temple. The development and construction of Taishan Scenic Spot has attracted the attention and favor of famous people at home and abroad. American overseas Chinese Calligraphers Mr. Pan Lisheng and Mr. Wu Ruide, President of Chinese Fine Brushwork Painting Society Mr. Pan Xuzi, Chinese calligrapher kuisha Menghai, abbot of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, etc. have all paid attention to Taishan, inscribed and painted for Taishan temple, donated art treasures, and added luster to Taishan.
