Raytheon cave
The Leishen cave was excavated in the Yuan Dynasty. It was the place where the famous Taoist Zhang Shouqing practiced the method of collecting thunder and prayed for rain. It was also the only place where the Leishen was worshipped in Wudang Mountain.
Introduction to scenic spots
The thunder god worshipped in the stone hall is a clay sculpture of the Ming Dynasty, painted with gold. People call it Deng Tianjun. It is the largest thunder god statue in Wudang Mountain. This God of thunder has a peculiar shape and a very dignified appearance. It has a bird face, a hawk's beak, a kite's eyes, three eyes, feet, and hawk's claws. The vivid image shows us the elegant demeanour of the Chinese god of thunder in the 15th century. In the stone Hall of Raytheon cave, there are also statues such as attacking evil, investigating, incense table, etc. There is a natural pool behind the stone hall. The spring flows all the year round. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is sweet and delicious. It is called lingchi.
