It is located on the stone bank of nanyandang stream. The mouth of the cave faces south in the shape of a round gate. The left wall of the mouth is engraved with two giant characters of seal script banner "Dongdong".

There is the word "Qiyun" on the cliff. The top of Dongdong cave is composed of three huge overhanging rocks. Round and upright is Huabiao peak, a shihuabiao peak; the most enchanting is the right corner peak; the most vivid is xianguan peak. The bottom of the three peaks are linked together, a total of Name: hualongyan. On the left side of the stone wall, there is the diyushihuilou, which was built during the reign of Xuantong. The blue stone banner on the lintel is the handwriting of Zheng Xiaoxu. The couplet "seeking benefits regardless of the old and the new, and loving the so-called public" is a book written by Song Heng, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. Standing at the entrance of the cave, the wind comes out of the cave, refreshing in summer. The exit of the cave is about 8 meters in diameter. The wall of the cave is upright and the height can be more than 20 meters. Above the Northeast cave wall, there is Huabiao peak as straight as a column, more than 40 meters high. Under it, the stone beam is across the sky. It is a semicircular gate with the inscription "East Gate" on it. Inside, it is Huiwen Academy.

Dongdong cave was developed in the late Tang Dynasty. It is said that Yu Gongyin, also known as Yu Gongdong, lived here in Chongning period of the Northern Song Dynasty. Shi Yuanjun, the author of the chronicles of northern Yandang mountains in Qing Dynasty, once wrote the record of xianzengyan. After investigation, xianzengyan is Dongdong. Shi Shi once described it as: "he Zhenyan stands on the bank, hollow and cut out. There is a hole under it,. If you look forward to Qiantu. " After entering the cave, "you can see the sky as bright as a mirror, exquisite and round, just like a huge steamer.". There are four or five steps at the mouth of the steamer. There are peaks standing alone like a hanging needle, and the orifices are shaped like pinholes. The sky is clear and reflects the mouth of the steamer. After the development of past dynasties, it is now 5.8 meters wide and 107 meters deep.
