Phoenix Square

Phoenix Square is located at the junction of Yihe River, Yihe River and Liuqing River in Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is one of the top ten cultural squares in Shandong Province.

Phoenix Square is built on the basis of the ancient Linyi "Phoenix City" cultural legend. The design takes the Phoenix as the theme. The platform is built in the northwest, and the wings are spread in the southwest. The trestle is the vein, and the blue water is the feather. The flying appearance of the Phoenix and the Yi River form a magnificent landscape of dragon and Phoenix.

Fenghuang square has a total area of 144700 square meters, a hardened area of 50000 square meters, a green area of 60000 square meters, about 500 large trees and 20000 square meters of ground pattern.

The 2008 Beijing Olympic torch Xiangyun relay in Linyi, Phoenix Square is set as the terminal.

festival activities

Linyi riverside scenic area takes square culture as the main position of cultural construction, and organizes colorful activities in Phoenix Square. Since its completion, the square has held the second Linyi Kite Festival, the large-scale lighting exhibition of "beautiful Linyi, city style" and the art exhibition of sand sculpture (Xizhi calligraphy) in Linyi, China. On July 21, 2008, the torch relay of Beijing Olympic Games ended in Fenghuang square in Linyi. The torch relay showed the brilliant achievements of Linyi waterfront eco city.

The ancient city of Linyi, known as "turtle camel Phoenix City", is the place where the legendary Phoenix congregates, hence the name of Phoenix Square. Phoenix Square is one of the riverside scenic spots in Linyi. It is built at the junction of Yihe River, Yihe River and Xiaosu river. The total investment is 30 million yuan, with a total area of 144700 square meters, a hardened area of 50000 square meters and a green area of 60000 square meters. Square construction

The design of the square is unique. The rockery, water system, sculpture and garden in the square complement each other. The modern music fountain is attractive, and the large stage can carry out various large-scale artistic performances. Square planning combined with urban ecological corridor is a comprehensive square integrating administration and leisure. The square structure can be summarized as "one belt, two axes and four districts". One area refers to the waterfront scenery belt in the east of the square; two axes refer to the North-South landscape axis and the East-West landscape sub axis; four areas refer to the square area, waterfront area, commercial area and administrative office area.

Phoenix Square embodies five characteristics: first, localization. Based on the local cultural landscape, a large number of local materials and suitable for the local flowers and trees are used. Second, human culture. Take full account of local history and cultural legends, such as "Phoenix sculpture" and "iron gate lock wave" in the square. Third, ecological. Some small-scale ecological landscapes are planned, such as rockery, ecological island, aquatic botanical garden, beach, etc. Fourth, humanization. People oriented, fully considering the space suitable for people's activities, there are 10000 square meters of central square in the square, and some small squares to meet the needs of people of different ages. Fifth, intellectualization. Make full use of high technology and computer technology. The sixth is the intersection of water and light. Making full use of the two elements of water and light, the intersection of water and light forms a unique urban landscape, which makes Phoenix more charming, energetic and poetic.

In the middle of the front (South) of the square, there is a huge granite with four big red characters "Phoenix Square" engraved on it. Behind it is a 12.6-meter-high bright red metal Phoenix sculpture with golden beads in its mouth. It looks like a torch and is the main sculpture of the square. The base of the sculpture is engraved with the words "fenglinbaodi". The first landscape wall on the east side is engraved with the ode to Phoenix Square written by Li Jianhua, former chairman of Dongying Writers Association; the first wall on the west side is engraved with the chronicle of Lijin Phoenix Square written by Lijin county Party committee and government; the rest of the sculptures symbolize the revolutionary struggle history and social, economic and cultural development of Lijin.

In the middle of the square is a 10 meter square music fountain with 45 fountains, 6 computer lights and 8 10 meter high blue stone dragon and Phoenix columns carved with dragon dance Phoenix relief. Each corner has a copper Phoenix. At night, the lights are all bright, the spring water jumps and sprays with the rhythm of music, and under the light of the colored lights, there are colorful pillars of light dancing and flowing. When the music is exciting, the central water column is up to 35 meters.

The middle and rear part is a large stage, 30 meters long from east to west and 15 meters wide from north to south, which can perform various kinds of artistic performances. From May every year, a series of mass cultural activities are held in the square to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses.

In the back (North) are rockeries and woods. The mountains and forests are integrated and echo each other. There are sometimes colorful butterflies dancing and birds singing and fighting. It seems to form a landscape picture.

On the right side of the square is the waterfront scenery belt. Sanli from south to north runs through the whole stadium, with a length of 330 meters and a water surface of more than 10000 square meters. Five artificial islets dot the river. Three unique shaped arch bridges span the river. The bridge body is decorated with colorful lights and looks like a rainbow. Three red steel door frames stand on the West Bank of the river, symbolizing the history of "iron gate lock wave" of Lijin iron gate pass.

The square construction combines the ancient and elegant history and culture with the passionate modern trend of thought, which is full of the profound cultural heritage of Phoenix City and tiemen pass, and also highlights the ambition of the people of Lijin to explore and look forward to the future.
