Ga'er temple, full name of "Ga'er putizhou", is located in baizhado, 70 kilometers away from Xiangda Town, Nangqian County, with an altitude of 3700 meters. It is said that more than 700 years ago, master lianhuasheng practiced in this town. Around 1200 A.D., in accordance with the will of juewa Jiuding sanggong, the founder of the gonggaju sect of Tibetan Buddhism, the famous eminent monk gaerdang baqiudeng founded the gaerdang temple here. There are Shengle Buddha Hall, jingangxin Buddha Hall, Kongxing Buddha Hall and more than 1000 small statues of jiudingsanggong in the temple. After the formation of the upper and lower temples, those who enter the upper temple are monks with strict discipline, while those who enter the lower temple are tourists

Gaer temple is located on the hillside of gaer Nianqing mountain, baizha Township, Nangqian County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

Since the temple was rebuilt in 1983, in order to protect everything around the temple, garrenbo told the local herdsmen that everything around the temple has the soul of Buddha. If we destroy it at will, we will suffer retribution in the present and the future. If we treat everything well, we will accumulate infinite virtues.

In 1994, in order to protect the wild animals around the temple, the herdsmen inside and around the temple were not allowed to keep dogs. If anyone caught a wild dog around the temple, he was awarded 60 yuan in cash and sent to other places by the village's vehicles. On July 1 every year, the temple organizes more than 30 lamas, monks and local villagers to patrol and clean the mountains around gaer temple.

In 1997, the temple suggested that all heads of households in Bamei village sign forest protection and wildlife protection responsibility contracts with the village. The contract should be signed and signed by the head of household in person, and summarized and commented at the end of the year. With various measures taken by the temple and strong protection, the natural forest vegetation and wildlife quantity of the local community have been restored.

Due to its outstanding achievements in environmental protection, gaer temple has been praised by provincial, state and county governments for many times since the 1990s.
