A long time ago, the grass and trees in caofengyuan area were luxuriant, the six animals were prosperous, people's life was full and happy. But it didn't last long. One day, the situation suddenly changed, and a large number of bandits came with steel knives and red eyes. They raped women, mutilated children, robbed property, and committed all kinds of crimes. Their peaceful and healthy homeland was immediately plunged into a bloody disaster.

The anger of hatred is burning. People rose up and resisted bravely, but due to poor organization and obsolete weapons, the effect was very little. One by one, Tibetan fortresses were broken down, and rich villages were plundered

However, there are "Nemesis" in the sky and "stars" on the ground. Baozi in other villages fell one after another, but zhangjiabaozi (now the star village of Caofeng township) stood still in front of the strong enemy. How did this miracle work? First, zhangjiabaozi is a well chosen terrain. It faces three empty areas, surrounded by cliffs and one side is a trench. In peacetime, it is crossed by a suspension bridge, and in wartime, it is lifted up to become a natural danger. Second, before the war, it is prepared with enough grain, rolling wood, stones, bows and arrows, and fireguns to fight back when the enemy attacks. At the same time, every night, more sentries will be set up to strictly prevent bandits from sneaking attacks.

At that time, the bandits were very fierce. They dug steps, took ladders, and used bows and arrows to attack in turn all day and all night. However, they failed to succeed in front of the brave and indomitable Zhangjia people. If the bandits failed to do one plan, they had another plan, so they used "iron walls" to encircle the people in the castle, in order to achieve the goal of winning without fighting.
