Memorial Hall of Chinese left wing writers' Union

The memorial hall of the founding meeting of the left wing writers' League of China is located at 145 Duolun Road, Shanghai. With the efforts of the Communist Party of China, the left wing League held its inaugural meeting on March 2, 1930 in Shanghai Chinese University of Arts (now No. 2, Lane 201, Duolun Road). At the founding meeting, Mr. Lu Xun made a speech entitled "opinions on the left wing writers' union", which for the first time put forward the direction that literature and art should serve "the masses of workers and peasants", and pointed out that left wing writers and artists must contact with the actual social struggle.

The memorial hall mainly propagandizes and studies the left wing League, and collects and keeps information about the left wing League. There are more than 2000 cultural relics, materials and books in the collection. The basic exhibition is divided into five parts: preparation and establishment; organization construction; just struggle; literary achievements and dissolution and influence. More than 400 objects, documents and photos are displayed, which systematically reflects the fighting history and brilliant achievements of the left wing League.
