The Qin Great Wall site is widely distributed in Bayannaoer City, accounting for about 1 / 3 of the whole autonomous region. It starts from xiaoshetai town of Wuqian banner in the East and ends at chaogewenduer town of Wuhou banner in the west, with a total length of 240 km. The first section of chasitai mountain in xiaoshetai town is the best protected, with a length of more than 2000 meters. It was built in the 28th year of Yingzheng (219 BC).

This section of the Great Wall is located in the northeast of the original xiaoshetai Township in Wuqian banner. The whole section of the Great Wall is made of local materials. The stones used are basically strips, cuboids and a small amount of natural stones, which are smashed by hand. They are built by interlacing layers of natural stones, and the internal and external walls are regular. The cross section of the Great Wall is trapezoidal. The wall is negatively inclined to the terrain. The slope section is 30 degrees. The base width is 4-6m, the top width is 1-3m, and the height is 5-6m. At the corner of the ridge or gully, there are often external walls, which are very dangerous. On the gentle ridge on the south side of the Great Wall, there are earth built observation towers every 500-1000 meters, with a bottom of 4 meters × 7 meters and a height of 0.5-3 meters; every 5 kilometers or so, beacon towers are built on the high mountain top, with a square bottom, a side of 10 meters long and a height of 2-3 meters. Each beacon tower echoes each other.

In 2005, Xiaoshe Taiqin Great Wall was listed as a national first-class cultural relic; in recent years, the state has allocated 1.8 million yuan for the protection and restoration of the Qin Great Wall.

The most well preserved site in the northeast of xiaoshetai is called "Bianqiang" by the local people. The village in the valley plain in the south is called "guangshenglong", and the village in the north is called "Baimiaozi".

Some sections are engraved with rock paintings: most of the existing Yinshan rock paintings are distributed in 600-800 meters north of the great wall of Xiaoshe Taiqin. Four distribution groups, more than 80 pieces, are found. The main contents of the picture are celestial bodies, such as sun, moon, star, spirit, man, God face, dance, horse racing, hunting, writing, graphics, birds, tiger, wolf, camel, deer, sheep, chariot, horse, felt tent, etc. These ancient rock paintings are carved on quartz veins, and fossils of algae and other plants are also found in this area.

According to the news on June 2, 2020, the emergency reinforcement project of zhangdeluwan section of Xiaoshe Taiqin Great Wall in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region started recently. It is understood that the rescue repair project will repair and reinforce the collapsed part of the Qin great wall more than 2000 years ago.
