Tianchangdijiu bridge is located in touchou village, Fanlu Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan. Touchou is located at the foot of Mt. Ali, which is the entrance to Mt. Ali. Tianchang Dijiu bridge is actually two separate suspension bridges with steel cables. The upper is Tianchang bridge and the lower is Dijiu bridge. The two bridges were built between the 12th year of Zhaohe (1937) and are collectively known as the "everlasting bridge".

The Tianchangdijiu bridge was built during the Japanese occupation period. The Japanese ruling Taiwan built the "Tianchangdijiu bridge" to celebrate the birthday of emperor Showa (Emperor Hirohito) and empress Liangzi (empress Xiangchun). Because the birthday of the Japanese emperor is called "tianchangjie" and the birthday of the imperial concubine is called "dijiujie", the two bridges are named "tianchangqiao" and "Dijiu" "Long bridge", collectively known as "forever" bridge, to wish the emperor and the imperial concubine a happy marriage, "forever". In fact, although Emperor Hirohito was not hanged as a war criminal after World War II, he had an unshirkable responsibility for the war of aggression against China. Therefore, no matter how romantic the "everlasting" bridge carries, we should not forget that it is a colonial mark. Moreover, Emperor Hirohito died in 1989, and in 2000, 11 years later, Queen Xiangchun died.

Of course, now many people ignore these, just because of the beautiful meaning of "forever" bridge, many tourists have to walk on the bridge and take photos. The stream under Dijiu bridge is called bazhang stream. Bazhang river originates from fenqi lake and is 81 km long. It is formed by the confluence of eight streams. It looks like a palm when viewed from above, so it is called bazhang river.

There are Wugong temple and Longyin temple near Tianchangdijiu bridge. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, surrounded by mountains and fresh air, attracting many tourists.

Traffic information

Driving: from Jiayi interchange road to Jiayi urban area, then along Alishan highway - Tai 18 line, lianwai Road, Wufeng North Road, Shekou, touchou, tianchangdijiuqiao, about 15 km away from Jiayi city.
