Located in Hainan Branch of Institute of medicinal plants, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Chinese Union Medical University, Xinglong South medicinal botanical garden is the only scenic spot of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is located on the Bank of Taiyang river with beautiful scenery and elegant environment. The typical hot and humid climate provides the best environment for plant growth. Introduction

More than 90% of the 220 Mu scenic area is covered by plants. It is an original natural oxygen bar with unique natural conditions. The tropical monsoon marine climate decorates the scenic area as the most tropical place in China.

Six scenic spots and a pure natural plant essential oil experience center have been opened in Xinglong Nanyao botanical garden, including "endangered and endemic Nanyao area", "Nanyao ecological protection area", "imported Nanyao garden", "Nanyao living label garden", "Nanyao introduction area" and "Nanyao introduction and domestication base"

There are more than 1000 species of plants in the scenic area, including more than 80 families and genera that can grow in the tropics. In the park, 22 kinds of imported Southern medicine are introduced, and nearly 100 kinds of other imported medicinal plants are to be researched and developed; 436 medicinal plants are introduced outside the island, 958 kinds of medicinal plants are introduced inside the island, and more than 1600 kinds of living plant specimens of Southern medicine are preserved in the branch.

On October 15, 1986, the former premier of the State Council, after visiting Hainan Branch's achievements in the introduction of Southern medicine, happily wrote an inscription: "developing Southern medicine, relieving worries for the people.".

The modern science and technology industrial base of Nanyao, completed in 2006, is a key science and technology project approved by Wanning government. In the experiment room of pure plant essential oil experience center, you can clearly see some essential oil field experiments. There are 36 people in the experience center who can experience the professional nursing of essential oil. The environment is beautiful and comfortable.
