Xiahu Liangqiao

Xiahuliang bridge is located on huliang River in the south of xiahuliang village, 4 km north of Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. Cultural relics protection units at the provincial level.

Xiahuliang bridge is located on huliang River in the south of xiahuliang village, dongxianpo Town, 4 km north of Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, 2 km north of Yongji bridge. It was first built in the second year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1574 A.D.), and there is no record of reconstruction in history. The bridge is a single way five hole stone arch bridge, 69 meters long and 9.14 meters wide. There are balustrades and watchposts on both sides of the bridge, and the drum stones at both ends have disappeared. It is the only way for Beijing Baotou highway. In 1987, the new road was opened and changed, and the bridge was protected as a cultural relic.

During the war of liberation, in order to stop the enemy, Hu Liangqiao was blown up. After the founding of new China, the bridge was partially renovated in 1954. The stele Pavilion at the south end of huliang bridge was also demolished during the cultural revolution. In 1993, Hu Liangqiao was designated as a cultural relic protection unit in Hebei Province. The protection area is extended 45 meters to the South and north of the bridge, and 10 meters to the East and west of the bridge. Taking the boundary line of the protection area as the baseline, the construction control zone extends 20 meters to the East, the west, the South and the north. At present, the overall bridge is still very solid, still in use, people can not help but lament the ancient people's exquisite bridge building technology.
